The application above displays panoramic view at the point on Mars named Greeley Haven. The mapped texture image is derived from the original image by NASA (see section below for detail). The scene is rendered by 3d panorama viewer for Microsoft® Silverlight® .

The image is incrementally modified in some aspects (e.g. angular offset correction, sky extrapolation, contrast/brightness adjustment, pixel resampling to lower resolution, etc.) to adapt it to the clearly-visible fully-covered 3d panoramic view.
